Caressed By Ice By: Nalini Singh

Caressed By Ice (Psy-Changeling, #3)Caressed By Ice by Nalini Singh
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

See I was smart this time for this book. I ordered it along with book two of this series ^_^

Judd Lauren, an ex-arrow (special forces for the Psy) who ran from Psy live to help his sisters kids live a normal life outside of the conditioning. With young boy and a teenage girl to look after life can be hard. Harder still is the fact that everything he fought for may come to an end due to just one woman. With powers that need to be kept in check all the time, just a small cares from this woman makes everything fly.

Brenna Shane Kincaid, a woman that has made it out of hell and back only to face a new nightmare. One that is strong and willing to stand by her, every if he doesn't know what to feel.

Out of the series, this has to be one of my top 5. The plot just keeps getting bigger, the main characters I just fell in love with, and the fact that the author keeps other character from the other books in the circle of things just makes the world more complete.

Visions of Heat By: Nalini Singh

Visions of Heat (Psy-Changeling, #2)Visions of Heat by Nalini Singh
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

With book one down I couldn't wait to get my hands on the second book in the Psy-Changeling series... Only to have my local Chapters not have it in!!!!

It's ok, I used the internet (WOOT!) to order it and have it to my door step within the week.

I will point out that this series has a lot of info to follow so if you are planning on reading the books out of order I wouldn't. I read book 10 of the series before going back and there was some people that I had no idea who or why their were there.

So book two, Visions of Heat!

Faith NightStar is a F-Class Psy, what does this mean? She can see the future. Cool right, not so much when her visions become that of blood and murder. Not only has her vision gone to a dark place but also an exquisite pleasure with a man that should stay out of her house and mind.

Vaughn D'Angelo a man with more animal instinct then he should. runs into lovely Faith on one of this runs. At for sight this animal side can't get enough of her.

With Faith wanting to reach passed her conditioning to see what a world full of colors really looks like can she take the last steps outside her door?

I really like the plot for this story, it opens up a lot of doorways for the series. As for the couple, I loved them.

Over all, the plot keeps getting better and better.

Slave to Sensation By: Nalini Singh

Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changeling, #1)Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a series that I did what I normally do at a second hand shop or book store and end up getting a book that right at the end of the series.

I was welcomed into Nalini world of psys and changelings with "Kiss of Snow". Couldn't put that one down so I figured I was just pick up the rest of them.

In a world where emotions are a weakness to a Psy, Sascha Duncan most cover up that her conditioning is failing.

Lucas Hunter is a man that is looking for the killers of his pack mates.

It is fun to watch the interact of the main characters with one another, as the learn what makes the other work.

Sascha is a woman fearing what she feels and most come to terms with what the Psy have really done to their people. Lucas was looking for the key to who killed so many of this kind only to find passion in the eyes of a woman that shouldn't have any.

The main story arch for this book is that the Psy conditioning that was enforce years ago is starting to fail and in doing so new/lost powers are starting to show. More and more killings are happening within the Psy cities and the population is looking for answers.

Over all, loved this book. It was hot, sexy, along with all the cool mind tricks psy can do, I couldn't stop reading. It was to the point where I just finished this one and ran for the next.

The Hunger Games By: Suzanne Collins

The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games #1)The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So I knew the movie was coming out for this one and really wanted to read the book before seeing the movie and boy was I happy I did. The movie was good mind you but it didn't really hit all the main problems the main characters comes across. This isn't a movie review so on to the book.

Meet Katniss, a 16 girl who is down on her luck, is poor but still has one friend to watch her back and a family to care for. That is till her little sister is picked for the hunger games and she takes her place. Two people are pick from each area and then are force to face off one another. It is a mean game of kill or be killed. The winners gets fame, money, and food. The catch is there can only be one winner.

The characters are well rounded, the history itself is something I would like to know more of. (Yes I know its only book one). All in all a good read, I will be reading the other two books.

This book did remind me of Battle Royal in the way the people are picked and forced to face off. Even some of the tech that was same. I can't wait to see how the story ends.

Back Log!

So after job changes and working for MTL Comiccon it is time to look at the back log of books that I have read over the passed two years and have not reviewed.

Getting Ready

Again sorry for the wait for more reviews. It has been a couple of hard months for me and with all the changes to my life I have had little time to sit and write. Hopefully that will change in the next two weeks. I'm off to Ottawa Comiccon for the weekend.
